Beloved Enemy by Lacy Yager

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Genevieve is only seventeen, but she is already in college and trying to find a cure for cancer. However, this is ruined when she is kidnapped by vampires who want to use her so she can help them. At first Genevieve does everything she can to escape from them, but eventually she wonders if maybe she should stay and help them and she also can’t help but wonder if the vampire Chad isn’t all that bad after all.

First off I really loved Genevieve. She isn’t like most characters with a vampire love interest. She has her own hobbies and passions. She is a very smart good who really wants to cure cancer and make a difference in the world. She also is able to take care of herself. Sure she’s not the strongest person out there, but she still tries her hardest and she stands up for herself.

I didn’t much like Chad’s chapters as much, but he was okay, too. I found it interesting that he had an injury even though he was a vampire. He was easy to relate too for the most part but I didn’t find him to be near as interesting as Genevieve was, but that’s just me.

Overall I give this book four out of five.
